This project consists of the installation of an elevator into an historic building, and upgrades to three existing passenger elevators, one dumbwaiter, and a prisoner elevator.
Structural engineering design for the refurbishment of existing elevators and design of a new elevator. Performed a field survey to assess the condition of the existing elevator shaft, pit, machine room, hoist beam, and penthouse floor. Provided design documents for modifications to the shaft and machine room for the new elevator. Reviewed and commented on the construction cost estimate.
