This project consisted of upgrades to an existing 10 MGD water treatment facility to a 20 MGD water treatment facility to address the rapidly increasing population in Harford County.
Albrecht Engineering, Inc. provided structural engineering design services to the contractor for various construction phase needs. Tasks consisted of the design of joint restraints for existing cast iron pipes for the removal of existing thrust blocks. Provided the design of temporary shoring for 17 vertical feet of excavation for the building expansion. Also provided the design of hoist beams for the removal and replacement of equipment through an existing window.
